Access !nfo (Madrid, Spain)

Access Info is a human rights organisation based in Madrid which works to promote and defend the right of access to information by promoting the transparency of national and supranational public bodies. It was created in June 2006 by European and international experts in access to information, and is registered as a not-for-profit, non-governmental association in Spain. Access Info’s strong, multicultural, and multidisciplinary team brings specialised knowledge of how the right of access to information functions in practice as well as experience in international advocacy, including the campaign for a stronger Council of Europe Convention on Access to Official Documents and work on national access to information laws as well as EU transparency. It has built a broad network of civil society organisations across the whole of Europe and inter-governmental bodies such as Council of Europe, OSCE and UNESCO acknowledge its expertise.
